Spring Has Sprung..... i think!

The weather is getting warmer and we are excited for more outdoor adventure. On the beautiful day of April 28th, we packed our cooler and set off for a park in Boulder for a picnic. The plan was to grill hamburgers. On the way we stopped at the store for some needed items (stop #1). At some point a long the way, we realized we forgot charcoal and a lighter; so, we stopped at another store for that (stop #2). Once we arrived, J fired up the grill and when we reached for utensils, they were't there; back to the store we went (stop # 3). You can see that things weren't exactly going as planned, but alas, we were finally ready to put the burgers on. Well, the grill was way too hot and when J tried moving the burgers, they started to fall apart. We lost one completely as it fell into the coals. Deep breath! God is producing patience in us! Ryder's burger was first off the grill, and what do you know? He dropped it in the dirt! So, we resorted to a "grilled" cheese! We did eventually get food in our tummies, and as we sat down to eat J apologized to the kids for getting aggravated. Grateful for memories made and time together. Grateful for how God works!

This is a picture of our sweet drama king loudly screaming. He had fallen hours earlier at home and scraped his knee. You would have thought the kid broke his leg. Bandaid = Cast... in his eyes! This just added to the chaos. hehe! I eventually took off the bandaid and he was good as new :) Silly boy!

Like our utensils? FYI: plastic forks MELT!

Like the reflection. Surprised my water loving boy didn't just get right in. That would have gone with the day!

Dad to the rescue!

See the scrape on his knee? Look like a broken bone doesn't it?

YEE-HAW! Ready for more and next time I will pack more carefully :)
